Recipe of the Month:
Rolled Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:

cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2
teaspoons baking powder
6
tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3
cup shortening
3/4
cup sugar
1
egg
1
tablespoon milk
1
teaspoon vanilla
Oven Temp: 375 degrees
Stir together flour, baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Beat butter and
shortening for 30 secords; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg,
milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture,
beating until well combined. Cover and chill at least 3 hours.
Working with 1/2 of the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface, roll to
1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on an ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 minutes or until
done. Makes 36 to 48 cookies.
