Intergenerational - simply defined by us - means between or among grandparents, parents and children. Mission Statement
September, 2004

The Big Brown BOX, Inc. is committed to providing children with a positive venue through which exploration of their inherent gifts of creativity and imagination should be encouraged at every turn.

   Brief Company History

The Big Brown BOX, Inc. was founded by David C. Pool in 2002.  He was fascinated by the relationship between children and big boxes.  It was apparent to him that children enjoyed playing with the boxes gifts and other things came in as much as the actual gift or thing itself.  Bringing his first written work to completion in 2001, he published it under his newly founded company, The Big Brown BOX, Inc., in 2002.

In 2003, Mr. Pool appeared on a local television broadcast  “For The People”.   During the interview he announced the launch of the Big Brown BOX, Inc., as well as, the public release of his first book.

Later in 2003, the company expanded it’s product line to include children’s literature.   Developed by Jacqueline H. Blumenstock and David C. Pool, the “Browny Big Box Adventure Series” has now had its debut with the first children's book in the series entitled, "Making New Friends."   "Making New Friends" was published and released by the Big Brown BOX, Inc. on May 1, 2005.  Almost immediately in June of 2005, it was honored by the "Just For Moms Foundation" with an award for "Outstanding Achievement".  Two other chidren's books in the series, "A Backyard Safari" and "A Christmas To Remember" are scheduled for release in 2006.

The company’s commitment to children and education is apparent thru their Just Imagine Education Program and Little Learners program, that began in 2004.
